Join us for an exclusive online expert gathering on June 4th 2024, 1-4 pm CEST, as we delve into the dynamic world of regional bioeconomy transition at the BIO2REG funding workshop
We cordially invite funding experts, regional policymakers, bioeconomy practitioners, and all those passionate about sustainable regional development.
Why this workshop? Because it is part of the BIO2REG project and which, amongst other, will develop a guide for regions on how to fund the transition. Through the workshop, we will gain valuable insights and engage in vibrant discussions on how various regions embraced the circular bioeconomy narrative to drive regional transitions. By showcasing transitions of several regions, we will explore the key drivers, challenges, and successes in their transition towards bioeconomy model regions. We will discuss how their approach can be applied by and transferred to other regions.
What is a bioeconomy model region? In a model region, bioeconomy serves as a catalyst for transformative change, adapted to regional conditions such as climate, resource availability, market dynamics, and governance structures. These model regions serve as a vibrant innovation nucleus, fostering and showcasing e.g. bio-based value chains, cutting-edge research, technologies, and robust policies. Moreover, they offer networking opportunities, fostering collaboration and generate economic opportunities and jobs.
